Some direct links with Strasbourg's history

Since its foundation, the Hannong hotel has always been close to the artisitic world. The Horn brothers, who built the house in the 1920s, have been reknown collectors of modern art.

With Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Jean Hans Arp and the architect Théo Van Doesburg, have together been the initiators of the Aubette decoration , Kléber place

Later, they made an important donation of their works, in the process founding the collection of the Museum of Modern art in the city of Strasbourg.

The Hannong hotel draws its name from a famous family of financiers of dutch heritage, the Hannongs. It was built on the site of their XVIII century factory. The Rohan palace has a remarkable collection of their works on display.
